Commissions

I accept a small number of commissions at a time.

Most of this work is created in remembrance of animal companions who have crossed, though commissions for living companions are also welcomed.

Each drawing is created slowly, with care, and with attention to the individual animal companion it represents.

This is not fast work, and it is not produced in volume. Each piece is approached as a shared process of attention, presence and return.

What Can Be Commissioned

Commissioned drawings focus on singular features - quiet points of recognition rather than full portraits.

  • Boop! - nose drawings

  • Blink! - eye drawings

  • Shake! - paw drawing (coming soon)

Drawings are created in graphite, with the option of a subtle colour pop.

How the Process Works

Each commission begins with reference photos, but the drawing itself unfolds over time - as guided by the animal companion.

I connect with one animal companion at a time, returning to them throughout the process - in observation, in presence, and in spirit. This ongoing attention allows space for familiarity, memory, and recognition to guide the work.

Because of this approach, commissions are intentionally limited, and timelines vary.

Regarding Memorial Pieces

For memorial drawings, I approach the work with the same steadiness and care. The process is not focused on loss, but on recognition - on what remains known and felt.

There is no expectation to share your personal details or stories unless you wish to. Some people find comfort in remembering aloud, others prefer quiet. Both are welcome.

Availability & Boundaries

I keep commissions intentionally limited. This protects the integrity of the work and the attention each animal receives.

  • Commission openings are limited and may close without notice

  • Completion times vary depending on current capacity

  • I may decline requests that do not align with my process or capacity

Thank you for understanding that this work is relational, not transactional.

If you feel drawn to this work and would like to inquire about a commission, you are welcome to reach out using the contact form.

You may include:

  • Your companion animal’s name and species
