A bridge is a place between moments - between holding and letting go, between memory and presence.
This work lives in that space.
I was lead to this work because of Gary.
Gary was the dog who taught me how deep connection can go - and how it doesn’t end when a body does. Through loving him, and through his transition to the other side of life, I learned how much remains when we slow down and truly pay attention. Drawing became a way of staying - not to fix grief, but to sit with it, and to share time within it.
When I draw an animal companion, I don’t rush. I sit with them in spirit and in presence throughout the process, letting their expression guide the work. Each piece is created slowly, with love and attention, as an act of respect - for who they are, and for the bond they share with the person who loves them.
This is especially true for memorial pieces. I know how meaningful it can be when someone takes the time to share in space with a soul companion - not just offer sympathy, but to speak their name, notice their unique details and honour who they were in the physical realm.
Twilight Bridge exists to hold that space.
A place where connection is acknowledged, where animals are remembered as individuals, and where drawing becomes a quiet form or presence. If you find yourself here because you recognize that space too, you are welcome.
This work is offered gently, and with care.
