Intent

Twilight Bridge exists as a space of quiet recognition. This work is created slowly, with attention, presence and respect for the animal companions who guide it.

Each drawing begins with observation and connection rather than urgency. I spend time connecting with one animal at a time - noticing form, texture, and expression, while also remaining open to intuition, guidance and connection as the drawing unfolds.

These drawings are not created from a single moment or brief encounter. I return to the animal throughout the process, sitting with them in presence and in spirit, allowing their character and energy to guide the work as it develops.

In that ongoing attention, something recognizable often emerges - not simply how the animal looks, but how they feel to those who know them.

This matters to me. In times of grief, I have learned that presence is more meaningful than polite words. Being invited to remember, to notice, or to sit with an animal together creates a different kind of connection - one that lingers.

The drawings themselves are studies of singular features - a nose, an eye, a paw - chosen not to reduce the animal, but to honour the small moments through which we recognize those we love.

Graphite forms the foundation of my work. In some pieces, a subtle touch of colour is added, not for decoration, but to reflect awareness, life, and individuality.

I do not work quickly or in large volume. Each drawing is approached as a small act of witnessing, offered as a way of sharing time, space, attention and recognition with the animal companion and those who love them.

This work is an invitation to share a connection - quietly, and with love.
